It's That Time Of Year!

Haha LSU fans!!!!! Haha!!!!! :D

And no, TOG, unfortunately they can't both lose. In a perfect world......but alas. :p

Guess it didn't happens but they looked awful against the LSU and didn't score that much. Just hoping that the Longhorns stay number 2 for God's sakes!

Ohio State crushed Penn State like a little bug and Iowa lost, so the Buckeyes control their own destiny again in the Big Ten.

Navy 23 to 21 Victory means no BCS For Notre Dame, again.

"Navy's second consecutive victory at Notre Dame Stadium didn't produce the same euphoria for the Midshipmen as the last one.
Just another win as far Navy was concerned -- though this loss to the Midshipmen was much more costly for Notre Dame."

"The last time an unranked Navy team beat a ranked Notre Dame team was 1936, the first year of the poll," :-D

As long as Notre Dame loses.

In other news, Michigan loses to Purdue at home for the first time since Bob Griese was Purdue's QB.

No real surprise there seeing last year ended Navy's 40 something losing streak to Notre Dame.

In controlling their own destiny they may give up next weeks game, so they won't have to come to the Rose Bowl on January 1st. That way they can avoid having their butt handed to them on a platter for the New Year.;-)

Oh yeah, because the team that lost to Stanford and Boise State really scares me.

Oregon controls their destiny in the PAC 10 but Arizona, Stanford, or USC could end up in the Rose Bowl. Last time a school from the Big 10 won a Rose Bowl was 2000. Maybe the Big 10 should follow the Cubs and use the slogan "Wait until next year".

The Big 10 is all ways suspect academically, because the can't count past 10. (There are 11 schools in the Big 10).

Well, for USC it's just across town. For the Big Ten Champ, it's cross country.

And besides, you always play the second best team in the Big Ten. The champ is in the Fiesta Bowl or the BCS National Title instead. ;)

Last 2 times a Big 10 school was in the Championship game they lost. Like I said last time Big 10 team won a Rose Bowl was 2002.

So it is understandable that Ohio State would not want to play in a Rose Bowl. I know Ohio State doesn't want to lose to USC twice in the same season, but there is a good chance they would play some other PAC 10 team and still lose.:)

Really surprised you think Ohio State is second best.:)

To who, I might add? Oh, the SEC! :D

2 Alabama vs 1 Florida for the SEC Championship? Oh, that makes me feel better. Either one of the SEC team lose, 3 Texas'll advance to the National Championship if they win the Big 12 Championship.

I have to say, this year stinks for me in football. By the current BCS Standings, I only like two teams in the top ten, 3 in the top 15, 6 of 20, and 7 of 25. No one in the top 5.

So it looks like Florida and BAMA will meet for the championship......Go BAMA since I don't like Florida.

And I thought Ohio State was pretty much on their way to the Rose Bowl, but I see the game is tied now......

Yes it is. Against Arizona it seems? Unless they blow their one whole entire point lead over Cali.

I thought the Pitt-ND game would be more interesting. *yawn* Tied at three and its almost halftime.

Oh wait!!!! Pitt just scored a touchdown! So its 10-3. Still boring.

*Edit* Yep.....Arizona blew that lead. By a lot.
