It's That Time Of Year!

Pretty much. *shakes head* Wanting to win should never get in the way of doing what's right and fair. But life doesn't work that way in many (if any) situations unfortunately.

Completely DUMB! I was pretty ticked when I heard about that. They suspended an Oregon player for hitting a BSU player (who was mouthing off to begin with) for the rest of the season (although I heard it might be overturned). And this guy gets benched for two whole quarters.......so, so, so pathetic.
Jawing is part of football. Punching, not so much. He deserved the season suspension, and the Florida player deserved more.

Agreed... And he said that it wasn't the smack talk, it was when the guy hit him on the shoulder pads to get his attention that he snapped.

Perhaps he did, but the BSU player also should have been suspended for at least a game (if not longer) since he was mouthing off. And its not just because I despise BSU that I feel that way. I hate poor sportsmanship no matter what team it is. It ruins the game.

Well, quite frankly, our referees HAVE sucked... In case you missed it, there have been SEVERAL missed calls by the officials throughout the season. But that's still no reason to ***** about them publicly. ESPECIALLY after one of your players just attempted to blind another player... That's not exactly the best time to say "Hey, we were victimized too!"

Ah the blame game.......such fun. And I totally see his point. If it weren't for the refs being bad, his player never would've tried to blind Georgia's player.

Give me a break. Seriously???? :bang:

So Meyer got fined 30 grand (big deal), Spikes' gets a full game's suspension (still think it should be longer), and the only really exciting game this weekend is BAMA and LSU.......Unless of course you're a Notre Dame or Navy fan. That game is always exciting.

Um, hello? Ohio State vs. Penn State?

There's an entire thread on that subject. And I, for one, think that helmets and pads are smart. Anything to reduce the possibility of life threatening injuries.

I pray to the Lord that the LSU will beat the 'Bama..... Please, make it happens. Amen.
