It's That Time Of Year!

Yes it is. Against Arizona it seems? Unless they blow their one whole entire point lead over Cali.

I thought the Pitt-ND game would be more interesting. *yawn* Tied at three and its almost halftime.

Oh wait!!!! Pitt just scored a touchdown! So its 10-3. Still boring.

*Edit* Yep.....Arizona blew that lead. By a lot.

Oregon is currently the front runner from the PAC 10 and controls their destiny. It won't be decided this week.

Yeah, but only because Arizona lost.

And once again, my Irish lose despite putting 19 points on the board in the 4th quarter. *sigh*

*clears throat* Go DAWGS.

That is all.

Oh, and USC sucks. :D

Young people new to college football tend to assume that USC is the only school in the PAC 10. If you paid any attention to anything but your own little neighborhood you would know there have been 4 or 5 schools from the PAC 10 in the Top 25 all year.

Who ever Ohio State faces in the Rose Bowl will probably be favored. Barely beating an Iowa team at home, without their starting quarterback or running back is not that big of deal.

Just were are your DAWGS going? With a 6-4 record to the Outhouse Bowl?:-D

Where did I say anything about the Pac-10 in that post? I'm curious... Because all I can read is me saying that Georgia beat Auburn and that USC lost to Stanford. In different terms of course, but that's ALL that post was meant to say.

By the way, would you care to add up how many SEC teams have been in the Top 25 all year?

I've never said one thing about how the Bulldogs were going anywhere this year. It's a rebuilding season. When you lose your quarterback, running back, and most productive wide receiver in one year, in addition to many other valuable seniors, there's going to be an adjustment period.

You do realize that USC only has one more win (which translates to one LESS loss) than Georgia, right?

And I'm NOT new to college football. I've been watching it ever since I can remember. But then again, old folks who can look back on the glory days of a team aren't normally willing to accept that their team is NOT "the ****" anymore.

*clears throat* Go DAWGS.

As you can see you did not say, "that Georgia beat Auburn".
You also did not say, "USC lost to Stanford."

You are so hungry to read something into a post, you do it to your own posts.:)

By the way, would you care to add up how many SEC teams have been in the Top 25 all year?
I did not mention that the SEC at all. They have done well in the top 25.

I innocently ask were they were going?:-?

I did not say USC was going anywhere. I only pointed out the PAC 10 consisted of more than one team.

And I'm NOT new to college football. I've been watching it ever since I can remember. But then again, old folks who can look back on the glory days of a team aren't normally willing to accept that their team is NOT "the ****" anymore.
"ever since I can remember."
Which judging by how well you remember what you post isn't that long.:-D

Who pray tell is my team? Go back and read over my posts and then tell me who "my team is", not who you think it is.

It would be fun since neither USC or Georgia are going to be in a premier bowl. They could end up playing each other in a "Toilet Bowl":)

This is a football topic, don't be so serious.

Sorry, I'm not the one reading into posts here... YOU'RE the one who brought something up that was completely and utterly unrelated to my post by bringing up the Pac-10 and "where my DAWGS were going."

Wanna try again, Chukpike?
I did not mention that the SEC at all. They have done well in the top 25.
And I did not mention the Pac-10. Case and point.

You did say, "*clears throat* Go DAWGS"

Only referring to their win over Auburn. And you don't "innocently" do anything on this forum.
I did not say USC was going anywhere. I only pointed out the PAC 10 consisted of more than one team.
And I said nothing about the Pac-10. I've already posted the numbers that support the SEC being better than the Pac-10, and that's the only conference I care about (the SEC).

"ever since I can remember."

Where did I mention you? I don't see your name anywhere...

Here's an interesting What-if situation: Everybody (exception being SEC title game loser) wins out. Five undefeated teams: which two do you put in the title game?

That's why I've advocated a play-off system since the day the BCS was explained to me. BUT, since we DON'T have a play-off, I'd say go back to strength of schedule. Look at which teams played the hardest opponents all year long, and put the two teams who had the hardest schedule in the championship. Establish opponent's difficulty by end of season record, statistics, etc.

Yes, but 'tis a fine line, my friend. ;)

Speaking of unexpected, did you see the Colts come back and beat Pats last night? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe when Belicheat went for it on a 4th down. Stupid, stupid, stupid. That's a punting situation right there. No matter what excuses he tried to come up with, that was just plain stupid on his part.

I know, huh!?!?! Hahahahaha!!! I almost turned it off at halftime, but decided not to. I'm glad I didn't. That was one of the best games of the season. If they both remain undefeated, I can't wait until the Saints and Colts meet in December. The 19th if I remember right? That should be a good game.

Didn't watch the end of the game, but anyone who beats the Patriots is good in my book. Exception being the Ravens, who are currently shutting out the Browns... AGAIN.

I wanna go to the parade in Cleveland when Art Modell dies.
