I thought it would be a "window accident"
It was only at 30,000 feet, he fell out of an aircraft window.I thought it would be a "window accident"
I think we are watching the development of a new military doctrine or rather an old one in a new shape.
The West cannot demand the Ukrainians to be successful when they lack the support from the West to do it
Think Hitler & Stalin agreed to divide Poland before it started. Wasn't aware of the WWI thing.
Private plane apparently, but the Russian media knew almost immediately that he was on the passenger list. If it wasn't a "hit" how long would it take to ID the plane & then get a copy of passenger list....They like plausible deniability in Russia, like their elections they rig them but would prefer not to rig them too much unlike Belarus who can announce the result and winning margin a month before voting.
There is also some rumours that it was taken down by an air defence missile.
Oh well. Gravity kills a lot of people in RussiaIt was only at 30,000 feet he fell out of an aircraft window.
I think Newton would disagree, gravity has killed no one it is always the sudden stop at the end that kills.Oh well. Gravity kills a lot of people in Russia
I think those raids are more PR than useful.I read the Ukrainian special forces raided the Crimea. I thought the Ukrainian SF have been active there since the beginning of the war. I also read the Ukrainians have completed the training with the Abrams tanks. I think they will launch a major attack from the Kherson region against Crimea. They are slowly degrading the Russian forces ability to conduct military operations. The Russian forces should be more effective if they fought in a mobile way, but yet their command structure prevent them from doing it.
The next logical step before we see T-34s in Ukraine.I think those raids are more PR than useful.
I never thought I would agree with Lindsey Graham but I think in this case he is right and it is probably the line the Biden administration should be pushing...
Ukraine used 3% of US defense budget to destroy half of Russian army — Lindsey Graham
Having spent less than 3% of annual U.S. military budget in security assistance, Ukraine managed to cut Russia’s combat capacity in half, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said at a press conference in Kyiv on Aug. 23.english.nv.ua
In other news the Russian T-10 of 1949 is heading off for refurbishment.

There are images of them being loaded onto transporters.
Even a bow and arrow in the right hands is deadly, so why not a T34?The next logical step before we see T-34s in Ukraine.
They most likely picked somebody up or delivered SF to Crimea. The Ukrainian version of Uber.
To give the Russians swords would solve their logistical problems.Even a bow and arrow in the right hands is deadly, so why not a T34?
Fat chance, half of them won't exist and half of what does someone will have stolen and sold the blades. To give the Russians swords would solve their logistical problems.
The Ukrainians can launch a covert operation by their special forces. Park a truck full of vodka outside every Russian military base in the occupied areas, wait for an hour and then commence the assault.Fat chance, half of them won't exist and half of what does someone will have stolen and sold the blades.
We all knew Prigozhen was a dead man, the big question most people had was why didn't he know it and why did pretty all of Wagner's senior staff decide to get on a plane with him at the same time.It does not matter if he was killed on the order of Putin, next week, he will be forgotten and our media will search for some other irrelevant thing ,maybe new claims about Nord Stream ?
After his failed operetta coup ,P was out .Besides the Wagner group's importance was not the importance our media told us .Its importance was almost nihil :the Wagner group was suited for coups and guerilla wars, not for wars of attrition .Question : did the Wagner group volunteer for the war,or was it ordered to join the war, and: if so,why ?
If you use special forces in a war of attrition, this means that you are short of classical forces . The war will continue without the Wagner group .
I can't remember the guys name but it was a high ranking Russian officer who defected in the 70s claimed that if the west ever wanted to invade Russia they should do it on New Year's eve as everyone is so drunk they couldn't do a thing to stop it.The Ukrainians can launch a covert operation by their special forces. I have heard it about May 1 and November 7 too. I don't think they care much about the latter one anymoreWe all knew Prigozhen was a dead man, the big question most people had was why didn't he know it and why did pretty all of Wagner's senior staff decide to get on a plane with him at the same time.

You have a point, the T-34 may be so old and out of date that a modern AP round would pass right through without exploding.Even a bow and arrow in the right hands is deadly, so why not a T34?
