Atheer you seem to be the big brain box lol..........its good you know so much about your country to back things up like you have. I know saudi has not been one of the best places ever but the welcoming whenever i ahve been there is like my own family. Its the bad egg's that cause the trouble and the caos!!

I hope you carry on your maturity like this through out your life as for a 15yr old you have a good head on your shoulders to make a difference in the world

let me clear this ...........Not entirely True ...........Soudi Arabia Does Censer Internet Content .............they have a central Servers and all internet traffic enterig the country have to pass through it............they have sepnt Lots of time and money in building a Internet Services Unit (ISU), so that all Internet traffic would pass through government-controlled servers.


The ISU operates the high-speed data links that connect the entire country to the global Internet..............

They are Using a Way which is called filtering ........ i belive they are working on Content Filters .... which is a relatively newer tachnique and a much expencive setup they have.........i wouldn't not go into much technical details of how it works so don't worry :D

Saudi government is censoring public Internet access which it says is with a central goal of blocking sexually explicit content that violates the values of Islam

The ISU, in turn, implements Internet content filtering or censorship in line with the 2001 Council of Ministers Resolution.

KACST the companey that handles Filtering maintains a web-based form that users can fill-out to report sites they feel should be blocked..............i a way Govt. works with people it is estamated 500 requests to block sites are recieved every Day

However, due to the wide-spread and diverse nature of pornographic sites, KACST was commissioned to directly block these types of sites.

it all opened with me ..
i dont remeber ever that when i try 2 open any site it dosent open with me
i just tried 2 open these things there talking about it
and guess what it all opend...
but ofcourse exept the sexuall sites the ones that opposes our Islamic religion morals wich i dont think anyone even goes there..
but 4 the other things that u talked about ofcourse not
or else i wouldent even know this site ...

The US also have filters, doubt they block but they rather alert the authority. We have the same thing here, little bold SÄPO guys monitoring the internet shutting down everthing they dislike (aslong as the servers are located within Sweden though.)

To be honest, I don't like Muslims. But I can tell everyone here more rasionally that, I should not feel in that way.

I live in a Islamic country(Malaysia). Muslims (95% Malays I suppose) here stands 69-75 % in the country population.

Politically, the Muslims were alwayz given a lot of credits and benefits as the non-muslims word harder but being rewarded least (Maybe we can say they give it to Malays, but as a non-Malay become Muslim they receive same benefits like malay).

Religionly, Christianity teaching and Islamic teaching were contradic, here I do not want to discuss much about it.

Socially, a lot of Malays here were wild and rude in my feeling. For several times my school "frens" dislike Americans and say Osama Bin Laden is holy and great(I don't dare to judge that majority of the Malays think in that way. But there r surely a numbers of them in the group).

I don't see Muslims have better attitude than non-muslims generally. When I raftly look through the ASEAN social, I see Muslims commit more crimes than non-muslims. They r more indicsipline also. So Muslim dissapointed me always.

In Indonesia, Muslims alwayz persecuted Christians. They went to Christian college ,catch the Christians and behead them on the street. They also burn a lot of churches there. I believe non of u here know about this.

Today most of the terrorism society were from Islam, can explain to me why other religions had least Terrorism as many explain/defend that Islam is actually good and peace.....................

Well depends what you are trying to open ..........it might be that the things i try to access are blocked...........none the less Freedom of Speech :)

What i ment to say was Saudi Government works with the poeple ............they have well documented Policy about Filtering which is quite transparent for everybody to see ..............unlike a few countries that are doing ti in a hidden manner.

people can request for Some site to be Banned by filling up this Form http://www.isu.net.sa/saudi-internet/contenet-filtring/forms/block-requist.htm

And similarly request Un-Blocking of Site by Filling this form http://www.isu.net.sa/saudi-internet/contenet-filtring/forms/unblock-requist.htm

They also maintained a List of all those site that were Blocked i can't find it Currently .

At Governments level NO ..........at private level YES .....schools and Libraries and various institutions etc do Block Internet Content .......But thats companey's Policy ...

Like During the recent Elections George Bush Decided to Block acces to his official re-election site http://www.GeorgeWBush.com for poeple Living outside America........the campaign hired Akamai Technologies Inc...... to manage its Web data

policy decision by the Bush camp.......Not the US Government's .....there is a difference

that gives me a chance 2 clear some things..
first thing i dont like malays ethier they dont just treat Christians a bad way they treat saudis a bad way 2 ...
so the problen isnt about the religion its about the poeple them selves most of them r uneducated about there own religion they think that every one who is not muslim we should hate him and ofcourse thats wrong thats not what islam says ...
but u shouldnt blame them they think all u guys r bad 4 killing muslims in Palstine and Iraq..
and about Osama Bin Laden its strange they like him because most of us dont really..
and u should know that..
every religion and every country has it's own 'wrong/bad' people.. And it isn't really right to judge people based on where they're from..

and when i went 2 the US i saw and heard lots of crimes that i couldnt stand that i wasnt use 2, and here i asure the crimes r less ...
like Commiting suicide thats against our religion so its less..
like killing others thats against our religion 2 and the killer dosnt just go 2 jail he gets killed so its less..
and sexual aggression is against our religion 2 so its less..
and other things if thats what u mean in crimes..

and 1 more thing u should never judje on muslims through Malaysia ..
come 2 the Gulf countries there the best 1s who r walking on the real islam ways..who show islam in the way it really is..

Middle east social is extermely without open minded. As u know Malaysia has the most open minded social in the Islamic world.

There r many religion laws and rules being made in the Islamic country in middle east. Women have to cover their face with Black cloth, punishment for crime were extremely violent.......... Young marriage, women not being educated (some of the Islamic countries in middle east)

Also from the link above, Saudi Arabia forbid their people to surf the Christianity websites. Muslims seems do not have the freedom in choosing other religions, this is not open minded at all.

And u no need to mention "trying to make me like" for I can think more rasionally. Although I commonly dislike Muslim but I alwayz like to be frenz. Juz as I mention in my first post --- "I must tell everyone that I shouldn't feel this way but think more rasionally".No Offense

If you have something to say, feel free to say it as long as it 1) does not violate the forum rules, and 2) you have invested the necessary time in researching your position as to be able to discuss it intelligently (things like "I don't like Muslims" serve no purpose and are not welcome on this forum).
