Random thought of the moment...

I want to punch my cousin's step-mom in the ****ing face right now.

She told my gramma to "hang in until tomorrow so you can see Glen."

It's been cold and snowy all day, again. I woke up on the wrong side of the world this morning.

We might get a massive snow storm here, the weather man said we could get up to a light dusting, here that's reason to call the National guard and close the state.

The opposite seems to be happening here. It's warming up and is supposed to be well above freezing in a couple of days. Spring? Naah!:-P It just means we'll get melting snow all over the place and then it'll freeze up again and everything will be twice as slick and slippery.

I just heard that this morning it was 5C (9F) degrees higher in Calgary than in Orlando. They had flurries!!! We have sun:-)

I can look forward to a shitty week now that I've finally called my cousin on her bitchy and controlling attitude.

I even got the F bomb from the queen of "I hate the F Word." *Rolls eyes.*

I really have to be careful the next couple of weeks and follow my directions. I would like to avoid having a tube down my throat.

Random thought (and probably not original): why does Hawai'i have interstate highways? or Alaska, for that matter?

Just in case California ever slips into the ocean and floats out to Hawaii :)
Alaska has them in case Canada ever builds a Interstate highway in the middle of nowhere to connect Alaska to the U.S. :)

Here's the ironic part,...Canada isn't stupid enough to build a road in the middle of nowhere, and Cali is NOT going to float, its gonna sink, so interstates in those states are just a waste on taxpayer money.

I think you just answered the question. The interstate highways come out of federal funds and state highways are solely on the back of the state taxpayer. Alaska with its tiny population compared with land area needs all the help it can get. Hawai'i with its small land area and pretty large tax base has less justification for not building all its own roads. Thanks mate!

By the way, Canada does not have interstate highways, it has interprovincial ones... And you can drive from the lower 48 to Alaska by driving from, for example, Seattle to Abbotsford, British Columbia, up to Prince George and on to Dawson Creek which is Mile 0 of the Alaska Highway which will take you to, (wait for it...) Alaska! Set aside about 2 1/2 days for the trip and don't try it in spring or autumn.

Ignorance is ubiquitous, so not worth getting irritated about, but certain types of wilful ignorance cause me to simmer. I was talking to a guy who is happy our airline now has non-stop flights from Edmonton to Mazatlan because he is a snowbird, has a house there and has been spending the last nine winters there. Only he insists on calling the city Mazatland! After NINE YEARS living five months there every year! I'll bet the US national debt to a stale doughnut that his spanish language skills leave just a little to be desired.

I know you have interpersonal Highways instead of interstate, but try telling that to the rich people in BMW's that invade your country from California wondering where their private taxpayer paid road went
