Congrats on your promotion! Man, you guys go through ranks fast. The minimum time we have to have in rank is 6 months before becoming eligable, and still., the average time someone spends in rank is about a year-a year and a half. Often 2 years.

yea our minimums per achievment is 2 months, chief has 2 so it takes 4 months and then 2d Lt and 1st LT take 4 months and then Captain and Major take 6 months, while LtCol and Col take as little as you want, but it does take time to organize the paperwork at national

Actually for both Chiefs it doesn't take 4 months. My D/CC did it in about 3 months.

It should 2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2+2=18 months thats the least you have to get.

You only need 16 months in CAP to get 2nd Lt. My C/CC got his Mitchell in 16 months.

Adult Sergeant Instructor with the Air Training Corps in the UK, I left cadet service last year when I hit twenty and carried on as an instructor until I get fit enough for the regular forces.
