The poor Bosnians did get the worse of it. However don't forget the Croats did the same to the Serbs in their part of former Yugoslavia. In this case these countries were gathered together after having been part of Turkey or Austria and never had a long history as an established single nation. ~ 140000 people of all republics died in the so called Yugoslav wars including: the war in Slovenia, Croatian war of Independence, Bosnian war, Kosovo war and Macedonian war.
