1943 Norwegian MTB 345 captured off Norway. U-159 bombed/sunk by USN PBM Mariner south of the Dominican Republic. U-404 sunk by 2 US Army and 1 RAF B-24s north west of Cape Ortegal
1944 1st flight DeHavilland Hornet. U-1166 severly damaged by a torpedo explosion at Eckenforde, Norway, decommisioned & towed to Keil, scuttled there May '45.
1945 IJN ships bombed/sunk at Kure: Battleships Haruna and Ise, Destroyer Nashi, Training ship Izumo, Cruiser Oyodo, Frigates CD-4 and CD-30, incomplete subs I-205, I-404, Sub Chaser CH-14 and Frigate CD-45 bombed/beached. Aux. minelayer Koryu Maru bombed/sunk at Innoshima. Destroyer USS Callahan sunk by Kamikaze off Okinawa, last warship to be sunk by Kamikazes.
