So you like the meatballs, how about moving to

We don't only have meatballs...

Their reaction is pretty normal. We aren't allowed to eat this in apartment complexes because of the stench

Your Herring based diet doesn't scare me I have been to China.
I have tried that but it was opened outside and left for a little bit, it isn't the worst thing I have been signed up for, Jordanian Haggis was without doubt the least appealing.

Most places have some product they try and shock tourists with, Turkey was a lightly fried silkworm that the wife "volunteered" me for in order to get 10% off carpets fortunately it tasted like a watery peanut, then there was fried tarantula in Cambodia and some fermented shark in iceland

The funny thing about German is that I know it well enough to read and understand it, I theoretically can speak it but my Kiwi accent makes it almost impossible for anyone to understand.

I speak it better than I can read and write it !

Which is amazing in itself when you have a strong west Scotland accent ! 🫣🫣

I’ve heard about that stuff and watched peoples reaction to it !

Does it taste better than smells ?

What’s that made from ? The internals of camels ?
Sheep stomach and intestine stuffed with spices herbs, rice and minced meat, ut may include, sheep head ,brains and succulent gummy feet.

We had something similar called Fwaregh in Egypt but that was more like a spiced sausage.

Sounds pretty similar to traditional haggis !

Never knew the Jordanians had their own version.

My experience is that most Arabic countries have similar dishes, I suspect it is an evolution of a "waste nothing" environment or culture.

Basically, if all you have is a lot of fish to eat you come up with a lot of recipes for fish.

I think the problem is that the Kiwi and Aussie accent is rather nasally which makes guttural languages difficult to get around, there is worse, I learnt Spanish from a German friend and the look of confusion on Spanish faces when I tried speaking Spanish with German syntax and a Kiwi accent, I may as well have been speaking Klingon.
