The FG-42 was designed for the German Fallschirmjäger, these days a genuine one is very rare but there have been numerous post war replicas made.
I have often thought of adding one to the collection but largely held off due to its rarity and price, the only ones you see reasonably priced are usually "Frankenstein" models made up from a mixture of genuine and replica parts.
