It's That Time Of Year!

Miami DEFINITELY deserves more attention... Notre Dame won't get it cause they lost their big game. PSU.... You can't lose that game and not drop.
 
Oh I know WHY Notre Dame isn't getting higher rankings and why Penn State dropped so far in the polls. But I still don't agree with it. ;)

Don't agree with Boise State... They don't play anyone. I think Oregon should be FAR higher on this list... At least higher than Cal... They beat em, after all.

Clemson and Miami both failed to play anyone any good before their respective Orange Bowl victories over Nebraska that led to National titles in the 80s. Playing no one hasn't mattered in the past, why should it be different now?

Oregon wasn't ranked last week, that's why they're as low as they are. And Cal fell about ten spots; that's more than I dropped Oklahoma for losing to Brigham Young.
 
But Oregon has played a great season so far... Their loss to Boise State was far less than the margin in which they BEAT Cal. And they played AT Boise State, which we all know is tough... They've got some sort of ridiculous record on that blue turf.


Oh well, I've had problems with the ranking system forever... And I think strength of schedule SHOULD come in to play... It's like Auburn... Number one rated offense, but they gave up 30 points to Ball State... Which balances out to they shouldn't have the number one rated offense, because they don't give their offense a challenge.
 
As long as the Texas Longhorns is number 2 or 1, I have no problem with the ranking system. :lol:

FINALLY!!!! Someone who knows that, besides the fact that they play really dirty, the only reason Bull S*** U wins games is because they play teams equivalent to my nephew's middle school team. I knew there was a reason I loved you so much, Rob. :D

Notre Dame did it again, rallying in the 4th to win it in OT. Woot woot!!! :D

I was a little surprised that Michigan lost to Michigan State.
 
If Miami pulls out this win against Oklahoma, they'd better move up in the polls. I'll be really disappointed if they don't. I really don't think they're getting as much attention as they deserve this season.
 
I want the Oklahoma Sooners to win tonight, otherwise, the Sooners definitely won't show any mercy against the Longhorns in 2 weeks.....
 
They never show mercy against the Horns, Foxy. That's the whole point of a major rivalry. ;) They've still got 6 minutes.......we'll see.
 
Miami and Oklahoma was like Hitler vs. Stalin to me. I detest them both with a passion, but in this case I wanted to see Miami win because I think they'll lose a couple more throughout the rest of the season, and I think Oklahoma is WAY overrated.
 
I completely understand the sentiment, TOG. That's how I feel about LSU and BSU. I also agree that Oklahoma is overrated. Miami, I'm pretty indifferent to. I don't like them or hate them. But I do think they've been badly under rated this season.

I didn't see anything that would result in a major shake up in the polls this week. Okie should drop down and Miami move up, and I think Michigan will fall out of the top 25.
