How would you handle the North Korean Crisis?

US airpower, technology, training, and equipment will over power the NK Army. The terrain is rugged so the Armor would have to stick to the roads making them easy picking for US aircraft and anti-armor teams. Plus the US has the ROKs on our side. Them are some mal hombres.

This seems like a heated debate
with most of you feeling that the US should just 'KICK THEIR TEETH OUT' however, as some of u point out it is not AT ALL that simple.
The US will never attack North Korea, first of all because it has no strategic interest in it. The latest announced withdralwal of US forces ( which when completed will account for 98% of all army personnel) from South Korea confirms that. The US got involved in the Korean War only because it was folowing an ultimately bogus preventive foreign cold war policy aimed at stopping the so called 'domino effect' (which itelsf was proven worng).
The US stayed as long as it did only because it would feel embarassed to leave an 'ally' (South Korea) face alone the world's fifth largest army (yup that is correct
), however the North will never attack because it knows any gains will be heavily outweighted by the tremendous losses. All of their 'big talk' is well known to be a political trick aka 'strategic deception' but in this case the North cannot really deceive anyone, its strategy is mostly domestic-orientated (prove your opressed nation that the others are the bad guys ). North Korea is fully aware of all that and I assure you the US knows it even better. That is why it has pulled out and concentrated on more pressing issues.

One sure thing is that America cannot take any action now....with forces in Iraq, Afghanistan, Europe, Asia and growing numbers in Africa, forces have been stretched too far and opening another front would be catastrophic.

Sorry but I hear pretty immature comments about this:
NK is a crazy regime very close to two allies of ours, or three: Japan, SK and Taiwan. They are able to reach Vancouver, Canada with some of their IBMs.
They got nuclear weapons ( and chemical and biological arsenal ) and the naked truth is that we cannot attack a Country which has nuclear weapons. We simply can't do that.
All we can do is try sop them, use diplomacy ( Strenght is no use when it comes to dealing with NK , we don't imply it's as rational a ruling class as it was, say, with the soviets ). Keep provide them with tons of food( they threat us if we dont send them, Darkmb ) , hoping for a change, and keep pondering on how fool it was to actually let them reach that advanced stage in the first place.
We can't attack a country which has nuclear weapons, especially when it's surrounded by our allies.
P.S. I have something to ask you, GuyOnTheRight. I am on the right too, here in my country, A moderate, rational right. Nothing like a hardliner or such. So now would you please explain what has that IL DUCE got to do with a rational view on things ? IL DUCE ( the leader ) is the title of Mussolini, he tought America was shit, he came from a revolutionary socialist movement. I am personally disturbed by that title below your name. It is purely, fully, undoubtedly fascist.
