You could argue the Germans invented that, it was their scientists

Space Travel

Didn`t the ruskies beat you to that?

The DVD
The CD

I`m pretty sure Phillips invented the CD, they are a dutch company.

British Law is a Monarchy which followed hundreds of Monarchys i dont see how thats unique

Actually, Parlimentry democracy is the basis of British law.

Sir Frank Whittle will be turning in his grave at that statement.

Video games

Japanese

Pong was the first video game and it was american, along with Atari.

Space travel i was reffering to manned space flight like to the moon. Not orbiting

There were as many Americans working on the bomb as Germans and those germans were techincally americans as well.

I dont want this to get into a who invented what pi$$ing match so lets just say both American and Great Britian have there days.

i believe

THE GREATEST MILLITARY POWER IN HISTORY ...would be the united states air force....basically....united states is stronger than alot of countries....okay....a vast majority

Wasnt Britian created thanks to Homo Erectus which lead to Homo Sapiens which in turn populated the British isles.

Point beings this "well your here because of us" argument doesnt work. We can either go back to God or single cell bacteria as the start of all civilizations.

True, but there are three things that I don't agree with. One, I don't play American Football. I play futbal! Two, I find Spanish a far better language. And three, the Kinghts of the round table were nobles and elitists. They weren't the common man. You had to be born into that little part f scoiety or you were screwed. But everything else is fine in my book. :D

Uh the US Revolutionary War started in 1775. The French Revolution didn't start until 1789 so, 5.56 is correct on that, Rich.

Oops! I stand corrected.

That's kind of like saying, "If it weren't for the Picts, Angles, Saxons and Jutes there wouldn't be an England".

What's your point?

Question on Liberty...has any of you read the Magna Carta from 1215 when the Barons marched King John at the point of sword to sign this act at Runnymede. This act brought in trial by Jury, it refused the State permission to hold you more than 24 hours before you were charged with a crime and went to court, well I could on but it would take several pages, and this was 500 years before the French Revolution.

Wounded Knee
Waco Texas
The Grassy Knoll
My Lai
Rodney King
Columbine High School
Timothy McVeigh
Three Mile Island...

Unfortunately, the Magna Carta only helped the nobles. It did nothing for the vast amount of regular people. It was, however, a step in the right direction.
