george bush used pot....does it matter?

Agreed. When the Democratic Party ran a Presidential Candidate that once used pot, that was a test of sorts. Americans didn't care that much one way or the other. So this would seem to constitute a mandate to this effect: "What you did when you were young and stupid doesn't matter all that much (as long as we're not talking about something really big)."

Some Democrats have taken issue with instances of drug use by George W Bush in his 20's. If you denounce Bush, then you must denounce Clinton along with him for doing the same things. Otherwise, it is just hypocrisy. I am all in favor ot both sides giving up and dropping the point. Its just stupid since both political parties now have their own 2 term president who is guilty of using pot. If America didn't care enough to vote against them 4 times, what more proof do you need??? America doesn't care!
 
I think that if he tried it, it doesn't really matter. But if he was a constant user than it may matter somewhat.
