Hmm...That's also a good question.

Why is it that you can't light a fire in your fire place with an entire box of matches and a week's worth of newspapers, but you can throw a burnt ciagarette out the window and start a forest fire that will burn all summer long?
 
I guess the grass fire are easily and getting bigger cause it is outside....more oxygen than the fireplace....I think.
