A Thread about... NOTHING!

I did. Oklahoma my Senior year, The King and I my Freshman year, Showboat and Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella my Junior year, and a shortened (by like four hours) version of The Sound of Music.

We ALMOST did The Music Man, but more people voted for Showboat. Personally I wanted to do something fun like Hello, Dolly. :)

I love musicals. :)

our school did Hello Dolly back in 2000...The Theater department has existed for 19 years and they've never done the same play twice.

I dunno if the school I went to has or not. We never did while I was there, but I haven't been back since I graduated and haven't kept up with them.

LOL I went to a private Christian school. All of our plays, concerts, etc. were either done in the gym (there's a stage on one side and stands on the other), or the church next door. At least you have an auditorium. :)

actually, our athletic facilities are one of the few nice things that our school has. The track is new, the footbal stadium is in good shape, the gym is nice, and the auditorium is comparable to a modern movie theater.

The school was built in the 1970s (no windows) and was designed for a maximum of 850 students. it currently houses 1200.

The school I went to is over a 100 years old. And you can tell. LOL The biggest class to ever graduate was mine with 40 kids. The highest enrollment ever in the school's history was my Senior year with around 380 kids.

tiny!

Originally there were 3 tiny High Schools, 2 in towns that had popped up along The National Road (US Rt. 40) and another town that was a halfway point in between Columbus and Newark, Ohio, the next town of any size. (Heard of Longaberger Baskets? Based in Newark.) Their graduating classes were never larger than 25. In 1955 the three High Schools were combined to form the first consolidated district in the County. The seperate High School opened in 1957. the old high schools served grades K-9 until a Middle School was built in 1977. In 1982 the High School was modified to its current form.

Of the original three high schools? One burned down in a fire in 1963 (a new building opened the following year, it still serves grades 1-5), the second was closed after the 1995 school year (it currently houses administrative offices on one floor and a 1960s extension houses the District's Kindergarten) and was replaced with an all new building, the most recently built structure in the district. The third is still in use today, albeit with some serious renovations.

yah, probably more than you cared to know, but I go on crazy infostreaks and I insist...

oh, and Watkins is home of the Warriors!

The old High Schools were the Etna Eagles, Kirkirsville Comets and Pataskala Blue Streaks.

I've attended Old Etna, Pataskala, and the Middle School and High School.

I went to West Canyon Elementary for two years, but spent the rest at the Academy. Loved it, miss it sometimes, but will NEVER go back.

well, as long as folks are comparing schools, my high school had around 2,000 students (give or take 500) and i graduated in a class of 450. interesting note, my freshman year was the first time freshman had been in the school (Osbourn High School, Manassas, VA) after about 20 years (i think?)
