Me and my number 2 on the gun would carry the gun together, I'd have the butt end and he'd have the muzzle end. What was a bugger was going over an assault course with one strapped to my back.

Would the AA-12 "Sledgehammer" be of any use in vehicular warfare?

I don't think that system has the range to really be effective in this scenerio. Shotguns are great for anything up to about 40-100 meters depending on the type of shell one is using.

The M 240B/C would be excellent for this scenerio. As it has proven numerous times over the past 12 year in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The gun was always unloaded when on a route march, besides which I was better trained then to do something so stupid and end up in front of a court martial.
