Favorite martial arts (the only one I know..
):
Military close/hand-to-hand combat..
The Norwegian version is actually based a bit on K'rav Magá, and some Kick-boxing (and several other martial arts).
We have taken out the most effective (for our purposes) "moves", and combined them into our own unique close combat form.
It's highly effective, and it's quite easy to learn the basic moves.
I am (was) an instructor in this, and have instructed soldiers in it for some years now.
It does include unarmed combat, and combat with knife/bayonet, sticks, rifles/MP5s, field/folding shovels etc...
(basically everything you may cary with you).
There are no "fancy" kicks/moves, since this is designed to be usefull if you are fatigued and in full combat gear.
It's not wise to use it in the average "bar fight" on a saturday night, since it's only designed to kill or cause serious/critical injuries.
That's why we are very carefull what we teach and to whom we teach it.
