Well this was an oddity...

The Soviets built gunboats with tank turrets during or after WWII, so I guess the difference is the increased performance of the modern Army howitzer vs the naval guns.

They seem to have dropped the idea in favour of retaining the 76mm as it has a far higher rate of fire seems range is not as important to the navy as it once was, I think the benefits of having less calibres to deal with in terms of logistics and procurement would be significant though.
