Was visiting a friend who also has a collectors license and he has just acquired a Stirling 7.62x51mm rifle, it is as though someone tried to upgrade the Stirling SMG into an assault rifle.
Never seen one before or understand why they made it.

It was a 30 round Bren mag, which makes sense as apparently there was also an LMG version made as well but I would have to go to the Royal Armouries Musem to see it.
I really do not know how he got hold of this thing as to the best of my knowledge only a few were made and they never left the UK, it is possible it is a replica (as there are many Stirling SMGs around) I would have to check its markings to know for sure.
