Honor In War.

I don't think there ever has been, at least not in the history of war that I've studied. The object is to kill folks and break their stuff. It's pretty hard to come up with a way to do that with honor.

"For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, 'If I live I will kill you, if I die you are forgiven,' such is the rule of honor."

There's only honor in romanticized stories.
The closest thing to honor now is minimizing civilian casualties on their side. Basically not deciding to eradicate their kind like in the old days.

^^^ What he said. Honor is just the excuse losing sides use to explain why they had their arse handed to them by the opponent... "I would have won but he didn't fight fair"... "They don't play by the rules"... "I want my cookies"...

But when your the victor you can make up your own rules =P

Aye, history books are written by the victors.

Or my favorite, "All is fair in love and war." Sometimes, honor gets you killed in the battlefield. All that matters is achieving the objective/completing the mission (i.e. winning).
