Milforum Media/Images FAQ and Rules
General forum rules still applies!
The general forum terms rules does also apply to media and photo uploading
OPSEC and PERSEC always have first priority!

Remember that this is an open forum, everyone has access and it is listed in several search engines.
Do not provide any information or images/media
containing material that has not officially been released from your government,
or is in any way classified/protected by your government or any of your allies.
Do not use full names if you are talking about others than yourself!
Pictures of still serving military personell can not contain:
(unless these are official photos and/or the person(s) have agreed to publish the image)
1. Clearly visible faces (possible to easily identify the person(s))
2. Readable name tags, unit tags etc.
3. Other items that can help to identify the person(s) on the picture
You'll have to manually remove ("censor") images that do not follow
those rules if you wish to display them in the forum and/or gallery
Pictures from official (military) sites are ok for now, since we have to asume that
they have been cleared for public use.
You are not allowed to post, upload, email/PM, or in any other way transmit
(i) any Content that you do not have the lawful right to copy, transmit and display
(including any Content that would violate any confidentiality or fiduciary obligations that you might have with respect to the content)
(ii) any Content for which you do not have the consent or permission of each identifiable person in the content
to use the name, voice, signature, photograph, or likeness of each such person
(to the extent each is implicated by the Content)
(iii) any Content that infringes the intellectual property rights or violates the privacy rights of any third party
(including without limitation copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property right, or moral right or right of publicity);
(iv) Images of extreme graphic nature (murders/death etc.) or other adult related images (nudity etc.),
including linking to sites with such content, unless pre-approved by the forum staff.
(v) Do not add pictures in your posts that are not located on your server(s) or servers you are allowed to use.
Images from official sources are ok (www.mil.something etc.), as long as you add a link/source to that site.
If you want to use images from other sources then please link to them only, bandwidth theft is not a nice thing!
If you are in doubt about the image/movie, PM one of the forum staff first.
The above also applies to links to illegal downloads/warez sites or similar sites.
